英国机械工程师学会（The Institution of Mechanical Engineers，IMechE）成立于1847年，是英国最早的专注机械工程及相关领域的工程类学会,其历史上不乏世界最伟大的工程师。目前在全球120个国家拥有约90000多名会员，涵盖汽车、铁路、航空航天、医学、电力和建筑行业等多元化领域的机械工程师。SAGE出版公司与英国机械工程师学会于2010年达成长期合作协议，SAGE出版该学会的全部18种学术期刊，其中包括16种倍受推崇的IMechE学报。SAGE共计出版70多种工程及材料科学期刊，是机械工程类期刊重要出版商之一。

IMechE学会旗下拥有18本同行评审的学术期刊，其中17本被ISI Journal Citation Reports（期刊评估报告）收录为核心刊。SAGE代表IMechE出版这18种高品质的机械工程及相关领域期刊，并面向国内用户推出电子全文数据库。

目前IMechE期刊的电子全文已经全部转入SAGE期刊平台，其访问网址与SAGE期刊一样，均为SAGE期刊在线平台。
